Stephen Gatlin is the founder and CEO of Gatlin International LLC, the world’s largest online career training programmes provider to universities, corporations and governments. Mr. Gatlin develops corporate vision and strategic direction for Gatlin International and oversees its day-to-day operations along with that of WorldEducation.net, the Internet’s largest collection of short, skills-based career training courses.
A pioneer of the elearning industry, Mr. Gatlin has helped tens of thousands of students reach their true potential with interactive, multimedia-rich training technology and pedagogy. Gatlin International and Gatlin Education Services, founded in 1989, became leaders in asynchronous online career training, providing educational products to more than 800 institutions worldwide.
Mr. Gatlin has been a featured speaker on the subject of public/private educational alliances and career training at many industry conferences, including: the Association for Continuing Education, the University Continuing Education Association, the European Distance and eLearning Network, Sloan-C International Symposium, Global Universities in Distance Education and Learning Resources Network among others. He is the recipient of the 2007 Lifetime Leadership award from the Association of Continuing Higher Education.
Currently, Mr. Gatlin is involved with many prestigious organisations including the World Future Society, the Association of Continuing Education, the International E- Learning Association, the Yosemite Fund and the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. In addition, he is a founding member of the World Education Council, an organisation dedicated to quality standards in e-learning.
